Resources & Primary Enterprise: foodstuff (tropical fruit, rum, sugar cane), human trafficking (generally outlawed but trade continues in secret in some places), maritime trade

Relationship with Keoland: strained; both nations were at war from ~ 444 – 464 CY.

Overview:

Pomarj

Capital: Stoneheim

Resources & Primary Enterprise: Minerals (silver, other precious and semi-precious ores)

Relationship with Keoland: cold and distant.

Overview: A former vassal state of Keoland, Pomarj declared independence in 461 CY. The political situation within this state is dynamic and fluid, with various baronies vying for control.

Pomarj is not blessed with the fertile soils of the Keoish heartlands and has never enjoyed good harvests or much in the way of good fortune for that matter. It is generally known as a backwater, dangerous place and seldom draws much interest from neighboring states.

But for tumultuous political dynamics and constant internal conflict (a theme in these lands), bands of goblins, hobgoblins, and bugbears would pose a significant threat to the state at large and potentially its neighbors as well, who prefer to focus their attention elsewhere.
